She has a bachelor’s degree in retail business from the Rochester Institute of Technology, has studied at the Culinary Institute of America in St. Helena, Calif., and is a certified Sommelier. She is a graduate of the International Coaching Program of the Gestalt Center for Organization & Systems Development. She is a board member of the Greater Sarasota Coaches Alliance. She is also a member of Slow Food.
She also has conducted workshops in “Planning Your Sales Strategy” for the Specialty Food Association, the SBDC, the VA Department of Ag and by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise. She also does workshops on “Working in the Food Business: Start a Rewarding Business or Career in Specialty Food.”
Deb Mazzaferro brings 37 years of sales and marketing experience in the specialty food trade to her coaching and consulting business, which she started in 2001. Since then she has worked with more than 100 companies in the specialty food trade to develop, implement and execute their sales and marketing strategy. Prior to establishing her own business, she most recently had been vice president of sales and marketing for B.R. Cohn, Daprano & Company and John Wagner & Sons.
