Leadership Skills are Leadership Skills… and they are learned.

At a recent leadership team meeting at HPISolutions Virtual Headquarters, we decided enough is enough!

Many people approach us each year (for the past 27 years!) with the same old story.  “It’s different in our organization” or “it’s different in the _____ industry” yada yada yada… NO IT ISN’T! 😊

Leadership is not defined by an industry, a particular organization, or a specific culture.  It is also not defined by whether you are centrally located, decentralized, or a virtual environment.  Size matters in some things, but not in Leadership.

A Leader is a Leader… PERIOD!

Take some time to think about the qualities of the best leader you ever worked for.  Next, do the same for the worst leader you have encountered.

Leadership is about some very basic tenets and are all learned skills, abilities and attitudes.  Over the next quarter, we will focus on the issue of leadership in a big way in both our new TO THE POINT briefs and also our twice-monthly Power Ideas.  We invite you to weigh in on this topic, whether you agree with our point of view or you don’t.  Together we will all learn how to be better leaders in 2020 which will assist us in unlocking the human potential in our organizations.
