If You Did Know…

If you did know, what would the answer be?

It is truly a fortunate person who gets to work with people he or she likes and admires, who is also amazingly competent and visionary.  One of those people is our Executive Strategic Partner, Charles Parnell.

Charles has an uncanny way to help individuals extract more from themselves than they even knew they possessed.  One of the ways that Charles accomplishes that task is to ask the question, “if you did know, what would the answer be?”

This Monday, I am asking you the same question with regard to understanding the five priorities needed to truly be successful in life and in business.  Here are some questions:

1. Do you know the WHY of your organization? Are you able to articulate a clear and compelling future to your team?
2. Are you focused on the level of health and productivity of all your colleagues? How do you demonstrate this level of concern while holding the team responsible for results?
3. How do you discern how fast or slow the organization needs to move to sustain long-term success, capitalize on opportunities, and preserve capital?
4. What is the capability of your organization’s ability to be innovative, to stay open to creative solutions and new ideas? How do you encourage every member to contribute new ways to solve problems and create new products or services?
5. How effective are you in managing the resources of the organization? What do you do to provide the right resources at the right times to encourage the team and to reward them for their efforts, while maintaining a growth mindset and solid profitability?
